exchange affections through the drawers

the compass spins
kept in the dark
feeling like a fool being the last to know
such awful banal thoughts
threatening to be a spoilsport
but obligation draws her back

she puts on this nonchalant airs around her
cant you tell the line between jealousy and disappointment?
the girl doesnt mind whatever scandalous ongoings
(for isnt that what single means?
